This surprised me.

I reaaaaallly enjoyed this. You possess a gift for fbf animation that a lot of other people, such as myself, lack. I really liked the animation here. It may have been as random as all hell, but that really kicked it up a notch and made it more fun to watch. (No rhyme intended.) It was extremely fluid, which is important in any kind of animation, especially frame by frame.

I can't really say too much bad about it except one thing which I'm sure must have been mentioned before: the length of this movie. It was too short for a movie that could have really been something out of this world. That's the only reason it's not a 10. Please, keep it up and submit more work.

VegetarianMeat responds:

Yeah, it is quite short (I think it runs for about 1 minute).

Thanks for the review :)

FS!

I really liked this. Everything from the characters, to the buildings, to the new-age vehicles were nicely drawn. I can honestly say, in my opinion, this was expertly done.

The audio was an extremely nice touch, I'm guessing you based the flash off of the song, and not the song off of the flash. It made a lot of sense, and that's very important when it comes to songs that have actual lyrics.

Great animation. Coop called them EMP's, so I'll call them that. I really liked the EMP animation. The pulsating effect was really very nice.

I didn't see anything I didn't like. And I'm sure you realize just how rare of an occurence that actually is. Great work here friend, FS for you.

Jimtopia responds:

Thanks man, I don't know what FS means, but I thanks.

Nice

Not a bad little representation of France here! It was pretty interesting, and I especially liked that you animated it without the use of flash. That must have taken some time. I got a nice little lesson out of it; both geography and language :P If you can, convert more of your files! I'd have no objection to seeing more of them. Once again, good work here.

Heh

I'll approach this baby the same way i approached your last flash. Mainly not a 9 or a 10 because of the static, constant background in the sky. I know you said it was going to be static until your next flash, so I look forward to the dynamic BG next! Unfortunately, there still wasn't much animation here. Maybe a few tweens, but that's about it. However! I did like some stuff. I liked how you made Lakitu into a roid raging maniac, that definitely helped your score. Ah, Gary... that poor bastard. He will be missed. I like the story as a whole, and I'm awaiting the end so I can finally know what happens! :P
If you're not too busy, maybe you can give my flash a view and review!

Thanks for the input, stay tuned for the next one, it should be more your style. PS i don't use any tweens in my flashes, i prefer doing it by hand . . .

Bit of a mixed review

Eh... I kinda had mixed feelings for this review here. Let me start by saying; I loved the drawings, they were very nice, from the big nosed Freddy, to the big eyed monkey :P I also liked your scenery/backgrounds. Those were placed very well and gave the story a lot more depth than it actually showed by itself. Now for the bad stuff. I found the animation to be minimal. There was some animation, but it was the same stuff over and over, such as the mouth movements. Another bad thing I didn't quite like was the prison scene. I found it good at first, but then the music came, and that kinda threw it off. It got very redundant, the same music being played over and over just to prove that the monkey had become emo. Lastly, the voice acting. I had mixed feelings here. The voices were good, but at times you could definitely tell they were recorded because you heard things such as a gust of breath on the mic at times.

Overall, 7/10 4/5. Not a bad score at all. Congratulations with this flash. I'd like to see improvement in the areas I mentioned above, and look forward to your next flash.

Awaiting your response,

lol "awaiting your response". xD

Thanks for the review! Yeah, the music scene was a bit long and I have a crappy microphone and each line I had to redo like 5 times to get an ok result. ;)

Jeez

Now this is quality work. Amazing animation man, that's an obvious observation. The entire movie was fluid, making it very enjoyable to watch, pleasing to the eye if you will. I thought the drawings were great! As for the audio; very very nice. Everything was perfect, even the ending scene, haha! As for a storyline, one wasn't even needed! This movie was so funny (and violent) that I watched it a few times over. I don't know if i would go so far as to call this original, but I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this movie. Great work, and for that, you get a FS! (Full Score)

Bit of both

It wasn't bad, at least not all of it. The audio was too low for my taste, so that's one reason it isn't a 10/10. Another reason is that there wasn't much of a story. I wasn't sure if he was looking through a window, or looking at a lady in a shower outside or what happened... so that kinda brought the score down a bit. And, this goes back to what aldlv just said: the animation wasn't really all there. It wasn't exactly fluid, it was a bit tough to enjoy because of that. Now for the good stuff. It did have great drawings. You're definitely an artist, don't be told otherwise. It also had humor, which is a major plus in any flash. That "Por que?" at the end really helped. Good work :)

Mucho thanks!

Too funny

I really didn't see anything I disliked at all. It was hilarious from start to finish. I thought the animation was extremely smooth, not choppy at all. The multitude of backgrounds really sent this flash over the edge. And it makes perfect sense to have so many backgrounds when you have a goat thats on a crazy trip haha. I think it's fully deserving of a 10/10 and a 5/5. Excellent work.

Graeme responds:

At first I was going to have like 3 kind of generic backgrounds, but my brother warned me that was something me flashes lacked, and good flashes had.
So I changed them as often as possible, with little extras (like the little propeler duck things)

Good luck on becoming a member of the RRC. They really are a great group

Mixed feelings

A cliffhanger huh? Always a fun approach to a tale. I realized you only used one constant background. Trust me, it gets tough when you start scrolling and using more than one. Thats the main reason it's not a 9 or 10. The other reason is because there was limited animation. It doesn't always hurt but it's not always great. In this video's case, I think it was the latter. Other than those 2 downfalls, I enjoyed it. It was a clever little joke. Good luck on making more, because that's what I'm doing right now! :)

eXillmatic responds:

Yea the next one is going to have a static background, but alot more animation as it's going to be an epic battle between the plumber and a roidraging Lakitu lol. But the one following that will have a scene involving scrolling backgrounds, i promise ;)

Excellent

Let me start off by saying I hate stick movies... I really do. That being said, this one definitely had to consume a good chunk of time to make. I'm very glad I didn't use my prejudice opinion against this flash, because that would have really been a shame. The animation was there, it was great... it flowed very nicely. Even the graphics other than the sticks were great. Good job Mister's Sung and Campbell. I'm looking forward to more. I wish I had such skill with my flashes :) I'm good at flashes, but I only do sprites, which is the one hinderance.

Miccool responds:

Thank you for your nice review. I'm glad you didn't just vote poorly just because it is sticks, but actually looked at the skill involved.

We'll have lots more to come. So hang tight!
